Yeah, I guess so, I'm didn't watch the movie cos its too different from the Smurf I know back in good old Disney's peak. Do they really have dub version in theaters over your side? ^ Yup I know the good old smurf series from my childhood. I wasn't a fan of it but it was fun at least. The recent smurf movie was really awful. Hehe we have English dub version in theaters for movies like Dark Knight, Hobbit etc but no way there would be a Jap. dub. I was kidding I don't consider watching a 2nd part of that movie no matter who's voicing them. But I'll look out for Takamina parts on youtube I guess . ^^

Successor of AKB48 general director Takahashi Minami was narrowed down to two people?
Japanese medias is cooking the news now... Pointing to the continuous graduations of 1st gen members Acchan, Mariko, Tomochin.... so the question of when is Takamina's turn is gaining more concern especially on the note that there isn't a fixed successor yet for her General Director role.. Acchan's successors of Mayuyu, Paruru and Jurina have been set when Acchan made her announcement, but the prep have been done years ago.... But namely a center is very different from a General Director. Cos the first thing the General Director need to have is the trust level from all of the 48G members. Coming as the prime candidate will be 9th gen Yokoyama Yui, whom Takamina have mentioned as a 「超努力家」(Super hardworking person), especially with Shinoda Mariko's imminent graduation on Jul 22, Yokoyama have been named to be the successor to Team A Captain. Also have be gained valuable experiences from her kennin to NMB48 last year. That alone is an excellent track record for a General Director. Another candidate is Yamamoto Sayaka, who have been the Captain and Center of NMB48 since its formation. For these two people, it is not only Takahashi Minami, but Oshima Yuko also talk about it a lot, as they are going to pull the AKB48 group in the future, it is expected from seniors. However, there are weaknesses in two such people. Yui's problem is her emotional control, as shown on the Sousenkyo stage. Sayaka's problem is her unmoving realistic emotion, as fans even described her as "Jizo" (a term to described unmoving emotionless person like the buddha) The two person, if to be recognized as the official successor to Takamina have to learn from each other's strength to cover their weakness. In addition, there is the problem of their age, which could means they could graduate even before Takamina does. But in all, the two choices is the most desirable for the future of AKB48 Group [Context trans from the article] News tag: benstack ch3mist kanonno hinata

No Jizo (nice term hehe) for me But in secret I want it to be Karen in the long run.

Yui need to learn how to control her emotion like Takamina and Yuko, who basically is the grandmaster in that division... Also Yui need to look out for her drinking habit, her father already warned her about it... Heavy drinking is part of the Yokoyama family's gene it seem... Karen I doubt so, maybe Captain of Team A as the distant possibility.... 48G General Director need to earn the trust and respect from members of all groups... even Kaigai group... At the moment I doubt Karen can even earn it from Team A, much less AKB48 and rest of 48G... Yui have already earned it from AKB48 and the Kami7, as well as NMB48 despite her short time over there... In fact Sayanee and her is on the same wave length most of the time.... Yui is always humble and kind, Sayanee is more down to earth and kind, but its easier to come and talk to Yui than Sayanee...

(I need to promote her hehe) Being too kind and approachable isn't necessarily a good thing as general manager though. But I think Yui is still the best candidate. If I'd be a member of AKB's I'd vote for Akigori as general manager.

If I'd be a member of AKB's I'd vote for Akigori as general manager. Not fully grown into a problem yet, she have been warned to stay off liquors and such as much as possible... but its hard to stay off when you hang out with Yuko, who drink hard liquor like plain water... Too much of anything isn't a good thing, they need to develop another persona between member and management... its never easy to take a stand when you are both (Takamina, Yuko and Sasshi can tell their difficulty) Sadly another big must as a general director is the ability to stay off scandals and bad publicity, which Takamina excels at it... cos as the general director, if you hit scandals not matter how small, its going to bring down the reputation of the whole 48G... Akigori is too insensitive to that, not really the proper choice despite her behind the scene skills... The severity of scandals on the group...
General Director >>>>>>>>>> 48G Center >>>>> Group Captains/Group Center >>>> Team Captains >>>> high Senbatsu members >>>>> the rest

but its hard to stay off when you hang out with Yuko, who drink hard liquor like plain water... Oh that's gonna be hard when 'Not Yet' releases their new song + she has to hang out with Yuko more often. How common is alcohol consumption within the Japanese society in general? I mean if you think of hard trinking countries the first that come to your mind (as European) is Russia. It's pretty severe with their vodka consumption but in total numbers that's peanuts to South Korea's Soyu consumption per capita/year. I wonder if Japans sake is comparable to S.Kor. Soyu in terms of being socially anchored. My country is about average in terms of liquor consumption but we excel at beer consumption per capita for obvious reasons. ^^
I didn't put scandal sensitivity into account that's right. Besides that I think Akigori would have been a great choice. Btw speaking of scandals, there wasn't even a minor one for Takamina ..like ever ?

Btw speaking of scandals, there wasn't even a minor one for Takamina ..like ever ? Yeah, Germany is the leader in term of both beer consumption and beer production, especially Oktoberfest right? With the extreme chilling climate of Russia, I can understand their need for Vodka... Actually China is also famous for their liquor consumption, their "Gaoliang" is from 40-80% alcohol and its drank at every meal... Drinking culture in Japan isn't just limited to Sake or hard liquor, they drink beer as well, and Japanese beers tastes sweeter due to their natural spring water.
Thats the ability of Takamina and Yuko, they can brush off scandals like dirt and nobody including Bunshun don't dare to dig further... Of cos they don't do anything that is easily caught and undeniable. Sadly Miichan, Yuka, Kasai and such don't learn how to be discreet.....

Translation from the Sousenkyo magazine interview The junior members are working hard for the future of AKB48. ―What did you think when you heard that this year’s General Election got a candidacy system? Whether to take the candidacy or not, I had hesitation. I’m also the General Manager, and as such I kept wondering if it was OK for me to take part to the General Election. But I am a member, too, but as the staff I’ve to have an overhead view, and I kept wondering if I’d ever be really accepted if I took part to the election. It was my first General Election as General Manager, that’s why a little part of me also was afraid that the General Election could have been denied. ―What’s the reason that why you decided to get the candidacy at last? At the handshake event just before the General Election I understood that I was really making worrying fans for me, that’s why I felt I wanted to reply to those voices that were telling me “I’d like you to run for the election”, Tomo (Itano Tomomi) who’s going to graduate got the candidacy, too, so I thought it was even more serious. Me and her have been able to do all the same kind of experiences together, so I thought that it would have been a real waste if I didn’t take part to the election. ―The 8th position you have taken, how’s it? Probably, if I had got such a position last year I’d be in a slump but, this year, even before the announcement of the results, I knew what I must to do, therefore whatever would have been the result, I had confidence in myself. I’m glad that everybody did push my back and I could enter the election. If I didn’t take part to the election I could ever taste the experience of take a speech in front of 70 000 people. ―What did you talk about towards the junior members once all the results got announced? I feel very concerned to the members who didn’t get into the ranking, this time. Those girls, there’s none of them who didn’t work very hard this time (she added force in her verbal tone), definitely, non of them. Indeed, I happened to think that KKS girls might have been working even harder than us. That’s why, “I’d like you to not feel down, because it’s not like that your value and merit are decided here, in this place, depending on a ranking”, that’s what I told them in the dressing room once the announcement got over. Of course, I want them to feel vexed and bitter about it, too. They’re juniors, so they may haven’t had so much opportunities to feel bitter at something, so I want them to remember how they’re feeling now in order to face forward and persisting in. ―About you, Takahashi-san, even during MCs your words do always care about all members of AKB48 group more than yourself, but how did you feel, as General Manager, looking at junior members breakthrough in this General Election? I felt happy. All junior members’ hard work is for AKB48’s future, that’s why is a joyful thing. Since many junior members entered the election, I thought that AKB48 will still be able to proceed ahead. ―This time it has been gathered the attention on the “Change of Generation” keyword for this General Election. Shinoda Mariko-san, who last year said: “please, come and overcome us”, this year said: “I could feel junior members working very hard the whole year this year”, on the other hand, 2nd generation Miyazawa Sae-san said: “I won’t loose at junior members”, while the young generation member Matsui Jurina-san alone said: “they call it ‘Change of Generation’ but, I still wonder about it………….”. Will AKB48 properly proceed toward a Change of Generation, actually? At this time’s General Election, I think that those fans who kept supporting certain members since the beginning and those fans who started supporting new members, they’ve done all their best as well. But But, I think that, if this time we had all new generation members in the upper ranking, it’d have been so boring. ―Since it wasn’t so, you rather felt happy? I thought “if it will be so, it’ll end with it”. After all, it’s because there’s a Senpai who got into for many years which gets that position that then junior members should be thinking at “so let’s take that person’s place!”. And I’m glad that we could persist with such a significance. ―Shimazaki Haruka, who gets called “Possible New Generation Center”, entered the Senbatsu Members, didn’t she? Paruru doesn’t create herself, she’s just clumsy. And that’s why she’s so fascinating I think. You can like her only the way she is, just how she is. ―Iriyama Anna-san and Kawaei Rina-san, who’re in same Team A, entered the ranking for the first time! Annin (Iriyama Anna) said in the speech: “I feel disappointed because my ranking is lower than the preliminary one”, but that was the first time I could see that Annin showing such an emotion, so it made me happy. Since she told those words I got convinced that she’ll be able to make progress from now on. When she entered Team A she said she didn’t have confidence in herself, and when I told her: “then take your confidence!”, she was about to burst into tears. When that girl will be able to find confidence in herself she’ll also be able to grow, that’s what I think. Kawaei made a great breakthrough as well, didn’t she? She acts like an idiot, but she actually is such a ultra-serious and earnest girl. She resembles (Yokoyama) Yui in that point. She’s aiming to the variety-world and she’s great at dancing, too. I have some expectations on her. I think Kawaei joined us with self-confidence. I can tell that when I look at her face. ―Matsui Rena-san entered the Best 7 as well, and she showed us a self-confident face. She made such a great face, didn’t she? She hates to loose and she has a great craving, like “I want SKE doing this!”. She’s been always enduring her tears with a smile. Looking at her presenting her self-confidence I got some courage, too. ―Among SKE48 members, Matsui Jurina-san got an upper rank as well. Jurina has been earnestly working so hard, that’s why AKB48 members have always wanted give her their support at first, I thought. Looking at Jurina’s grow since when she was a primary school student made us feeling a parental affection toward her. ―NMB48 members got higher position as well. I’m so glad! For Sayanee (Yamamoto Sayaka) and Mirukii (Watanabe Miyuki). I feel the same for JuriRena (Jurina, Rena) of course, but their friendly competition is lovely. Even if they both got chosen as heart/center of the whole group, they kept struggling without being satisfied and showed some results. And I’m grateful to fans who’re proving that to us. Besides, HKT48 is interesting too, don’t you think? There’re (Tashima) Meru, (Tomonaga) Mio-chan, (Kodama) Haruka-chan, (Miyawaki) Sakura-chan. And also Sashihara (Rino) and Lovetan (Oota Aika) who left AKB48. ―Shinoda Mariko-san, who last year gave to AKB48 the open topic for the change of generation, announced her graduation. I did hear something about that a little before, but I didn’t know where she would have announced that. But, since I have seen I don’t know how many people graduating, when her name got called for the ranking announcement, and I was looking at the atmosphere around her, I understood “ah, she’s going to announce it, isn’t she”. Before I could realize that, I was holding (Miyazawa) Sae-chan’s hand, who was sitting next to me. ―Shinoda-san and Itano-san are going to graduate, members of first generation are becoming even fewer, don’t they? When I realized it, only the 3 of Nosleeves until will be left back. It’s so lonely………. I feel so lonely. But there’re some things I want to do, then I’ll graduate, so I’m gonna do my best. I still want to teach some other few things to the younger members, I still want persisting to stay by their side for a while. cakama color coded parts for you benstack kanonnooshiri (You've probably read that on tumblr alrdy I guess? )
