[G+] Yokoyama Yui 2013.08.08 20:46 The second day in Kyocera Dome has ended!! We were allowed to sing the unit song from the album which I had during my concurrent in NMB, Dazai osamu wo yonda ka?, where Sayaka-chan is on guitar Nana-chan on tambourine and me, myself on harmonica I’m happy to know that a lot of people found the lyrics fit into three of us, because it is a good song♪ The picture is the new costume of the unit!! I really love Osaka!! I was beated by Shu„ (laughs) Yuihan tag: ch3mist hinata kanonno oshiri

I’d like to pass down what I’ve experienced on my concurrent position to the junior members. ―Yokoyama-san’s state at the General Election, this year as well it was worth seeing. Only this year I was going to not cry, but……… what you call the “General Election speech” it actually is a viewless “evil spirit”. If I tell you this first, it becomes way more persuasive, doesn’t it? ―Yes, it does. Yokoyama-san’s figure of her body full trembling and climbing to the microphone stand is a true symbol of the General Election, already.Everybody doesn’t know about the “evil spirit”. Because that one can make my body trembling! Because it comes from your back and stomach! But still, I think this year I could quite hold on on it. I could say what I wanted to say, so it was really refreshing for me. ―This year’s General Election was in a festival mood since the beginning, didn’t it?Yes, you’re right. I’ve been always receiving a lot of chances, last year and two years ago, although I was a new face for the group, that’s why I felt like: “what should I do if I won’t enter the senbatsu?”, even before the election I really felt so worried I thought to die. But, this year I didn’t feel any pressure, I could attend it at easy. And it seems that other members had such a feeling as well. When I thought “the General Election is a festival, more than anything else” it seemed that also the members who couldn’t rank in had fun, anyway, and they were aiming for the next time. ―"A single General Election isn’t everything", there’s such a feeling among us fans as well. That’s right. There’s like a “order of chances” which has a specific timing and it varies from person to person. What we should do is to get ready in advance for when that chance will come for us, but I don’t think that this “light” does hit everybody equally. It was the same for me, I got outranked the General Election at first, too, so I really do understand the fallen members’ feelings, but anyway I’d like them to not throw away their hopes and ambitions. Even if you don’t get enough votes there surely are fans who surely support you. I think it is a correct thing to say that there’re different shapes to support and feeling. That is just an event which shows us our fans’ feelings, I started to think that about once in a year that’s not so bad, tho. ―"Since last year’s General Election I really could experience many things this whole year, the greatest thing was to get a concurrent position in NMB48 tho", that’s what you remarked in your speech.I didn’t make any mistake, that’s what I think. With this concurrent position I could see for the first time my “limits”. Before filming for “Kitagawa Kenji” which was almost my first work with them, I happened to get enteritis. Then, just before the tour I was so mentally pressured I happened to get high fever. At that time, although I told them I wanted to perform and they allowed me to, to take part to handshake events, and my moving schedules were really hard to bear, there wasn’t even time to practicing, I really collapsed completely. But, even though that, members of the staff kept me up to date, members of the group were rehearsaling for me, I could somehow join the tour tho. ―Certainly, to hear that Yokoyama-san, who have been working extra hard since she was KKS and who’ve been brushing off the pressure, then collapsed, it surprised me.Until now, even when I took the flu, it was only during my days off, even when I had to remember songs choreography in a short period of time, I could always make it in time, somehow. This time, as result of my working so damn hard, I could realize what are my limits…….. and this made me glad. I do originally hate to lose, and I couldn’t do anything else but look at matter of discussions. But, to have been able to bump into my limits and to have showed my fragile part to everybody, I think it was something which made me grow. It seems that I can normally take part to discussions with members now, and that stubborn part of mine became more gentle. ―Those NMB members, they do follow you and they’re are warm, aren’t they? That’s right. ….. I can tell it now, the first time I was allowed to greet everybody at NMB theater I felt like: “ah, I’m out of place”. But, it’s members’ kindness reached fans as well, and at my last stage performance at the theater I could receive warmth by everybody. After the stage performance all members, from 1st until 4th generation, were waiting for me and I received a thank you-letter by them. I also thought that I’d have liked to take part to this year’s Kouhaku with them, if it were possible but, that’s not me who’s a concurrent position but that’s NMB48 real members who’ve been working so hard who should take part to the event, that’s what I think, if I should think about it now, it was a short time for my concurrent position, but I also think it got revoked on a nice timing. ―The Yokoyama-san who could get such an experience, although she came back to AKB48, is there something she wants to convey and pass down to other members?Yes, there is〜. Due to the reshuffle I got transferred in Team A and the junior members increased a lot. I also spent much more time with senior members and I know that NMB48 girls do work very hard, too. So I want to pass down my experience to juniors members only the way I can do that. ―Among fans there’s also someone who suggests that “next generation general manager is Yokoyama Yui”. Ahah, I wonder. When I look at Takamina-san’s work it makes me think that’s Takamina-san who’ve been doing something like that for 8 years, to being general manager is part of Takahashi Minami’s “personality/character”. That’s why, even though something like Takamina-san’s graduation will ever happen, I think the only general manager will always be Takamina-san in her lifetime and that’s something wonderful. Besides, I once got told by the staff: “you’re not like a leader who stands on the front and do things as the first one, you’re most the type who pushes people’s back and follows them”. That “following” word really matches to me. Since I like listen to people’s talking, I want to become someone who can help people when they’re in troubles. I want to become someone like Takamina-san who spurs junior members and who’s their “point of contact”. ―Do you mean someone like Miyazawa Sae-san? (here Miyazawa happened to pass by accidentally) Aaah, yeah maybe. …… Sae-chan got me! Miyazawa: mh? I’ll become Saechan’s successor! (laughs) Miyazawa: you’re a great girl, aren’t you!! ―She inherited your gene (laughs).I think like even the thing that I started to think about this group in such a way is thanks to the experience of concurrent position in NMB48. I’m 20 years old already, and I can’t afford to not always trembling in such a way to the general election (laughs), I want to support this group even tightly. On the handwritten note: "13th position. Thank you very much for that. I wish AKB48 to keep to be loved by many people… Team A Yokoyama Yui” cakama

ch3mistAh... my lovely and hardworking Yui.... True she like to have human shield (one Pocchari Ponkotsu) in front of her so she does not expose her nerves in front of other.... Poor Yui needs to take care of her health.... captain's workload will drive her health down... I'm sure Takamina and all founding 3 generations of members will feel secured passing the baton to Yui...

That reminds me of this comparison after the Sousenkyo; I think I forgot to post it. Wow comparing Yui to Chieri is an honor.... but Yui is not center-nova candidate, although my Yui shines not less radiantly The closest link is that both of them are golden KKS Ace (and no... Ponkotsu is not)

The closest link is that both of them are golden KKS Ace (and no... Ponkotsu is not) You always always have to bring in Paruru to such topics. No point in comparing since they're completely different types, like you'd never compare a melee-mecha with a heavy long-range siege mecha. They have different strengths and weaknesses and excel at different areas. Regarding the Chieri/Yui comparison, I guess there might be people who could argue about an annoying overly staged play ( benstack )

Well Paru completes Yui, and the same visa versa.. I'm not saying Ponkotsu is not good (well technically I do mean that ) But she does help Yui in being her human shield, so I'll give credit when credit is due But thats how Yui is.... Guess Sascha-kun haven't watch her promotion video yet.... even Haruka always mentioned about Yui's EQ level when she is over-excited....

I know, I just wrote that cuz I came across with that opinion by some tumblr members. It's nothing I endorse ofc. Yui is a ticking (emotional) time bomb. Maybe some Sake can relax her nerves before big events like Sousenkyo etc

Just keep the Ponkotsu nearly will be the best medicine (as much as I want to roast the Ponkotsu, she is still of uses)

130812 Yokoyama Team A Waiting Stage MC1
Juri: You know there are times when you're very sad. There's a day in this summer that I feel very down. But parent's don't really understand your feelings so it's kinda hard to ask advice from them. So I called Yokoyama captain while crying. Then she immediately came to my house at night. Ryoka: You're crying at this age? Juri: No, no, no. I'm just one year older than you, okay? Please keep quite for 5 seconds. And, don't start counting! Juri: So yeah, yokoyama-san listen to me for the night. There are times when you feels down and it's okay to stay that way for the day, but you need to face forward positively for the next day. And such is the best memory of my summer. cakama
