Trailer for the upcoming Drama MV of T-ara's next release cakama benstackHmm... I think most people (excluding Queens) have already write off T-ara along with KARA from the top Kpop girl group. (Personal Opinion) Sometimes I really feel sorry and disappointed with Kpop labels, just because they don't want to spend money to train and debut new artists. They just continue to release music with their existing labels until its becoming worse than a rookie's sales.

Their mediocre (Bunny Style) to awful (QBS/N4) releses this year don't me thinking of them differently. Ye I wonder, a mediocre 'top-tier' comeback is probably still more worthy than pushing a fresh rookie group on the market. Like IDK Hello Venus are kinda popular but their physical sales are still kinda awful (~Tea 11k sales). Another 2012 rookie group EvoL still doesn't even reach 5k after one year. Let's see if 2013 rookies Ladies' Code will do better with their next comeback. The debut release was ~1.5k But apparently the phys. sales don't tell the complete story. Hello Venus comeback this year sold more than both 9Muses comebacks but still 9Muses seem to starting off this year in terms of their popularity (I mean they're around since 2010). ^ Same for Girl's Day. Since 2NE1 becoming a top tier group simply overnight there was no real success story, right?

Look at Infinite, B.A.P, VIXX for example, in just a few years they are already clocking more physical than most of the girl groups can dream. For Girl groups its mostly just hoping for good digital sales. Remember Kpop fandom is 85% girls... Even 4M's WYN can be a big mega hit, but their physical is way down from before. Sistar can't manage any higher physical either. Nope, the only success story is SOSHI only. Something that even f(x) can't replicate, none can anyone in Kpop female division

Someone on Kayo said EXO sold like 700k+ with their latest release. That's more than 2NE1 + Sistar's combined phys. sales. 2NE1 got Gaon no.1 with their debut and consecutive next 3 released songs, SNSD didn't. It took SNSD 2yrs go secure their first no.1 spot according to the discography. I didn't refer to the success story but to the overnight success of 2NE1 and their 'Fire' debut.

For EXO, I think so if you add up all the different types. SOSHI went through a downfall since their 2008 Black Ocean incident, back than Kpop 2nd generation is just starting up. When 2NE1 comes along in 2009, things is already looking easy. Much like AKB48/SKE48 needs to struggle in their early days, then when time is easy NMB48/HKT48 can just come in and hit no.1 like its a piece of cake. Fire is just another Abracadabra, Alone, Gangnam Style...etc. Same thing as how SUJU/DBSK/BB have to go through the build up era, now groups like B.A.P/VIXX/EXO...etc just come and grab mega sales like its supposed to be this way.

Agreed but still 2NE1 start was more jumpy (like debut straight to no.1 in short time) + consecutive no.1 with the next three follow-up releases while SNSD needed to prepare the ground before claiming the top. (I think that's the right idiom? ^^ ) After all SNSD is the only tier 1 group I doubt anyone would claim 2NE1 to be a competitor after 2013, every 2NE1-related release was pretty much awful. (Well SNSD also released their worst song ever in '13 'Love & Girls') Let's see how long 2NE1 will stay together (non intended pun ;p)
Here's Tiny-G's new song. cakama Check it out (are Thai-looks popular btw? ^^ Mint, the blonde one is Thai) benstack

EXO is one case, B.A.P another...etc. Back then there is only like 50 idol groups all around, if you asked 2NE1 to debut now where there is 300+ girl groups alone... I doubt they can pull the same result off. SOSHI is already inducted into Mnet's Top100 Korean Legend, so nobody in the industry can really try to challenge them...
Never a Tiny-G fan... gomen their music route is too kiddish for my tastes...

Never a Tiny-G fan... gomen their music route is too kiddish for my tastes... IDK about EXO/BAP, the only song of both these groups I ever listened to was 'One Shot'. I literally know nothing else. But Exo fans are retarded on every forum and BAP well their wannabe-gangsta appeal is ridiculous to me. Once 2NE1 was my fav. kpop group but I'm pretty much done with them.
Ye true but that comeback is a new polished Tiny-G at least listen to the song once. It's alrdy better than any 2NE1 release this year (I know I know low bar )
