Hehe this is adorable. ANN 2013.07.19 - Shinoda Mariko SP This time is Shinoda Mariko Graduation SP so all the members this time (Takamina, Sayaka, Kojiharu) were Mariko’s personally hand picked to be with her on the show. "Last thing you want to ask/say to Mariko before her graduation" Sayaka: Mariko, you really love me, don’t you? Mariko: Why did you ask like you’re from the top? XD Sayaka: I just wonder if you love me XD Takamina: You love her, don’t you? Mariko: Yes, I love her XDD Takamina: See, Mariko even chose Sayaka to be here today. Sayaka: … Uhm, I’m a bit happy. Honestly happy (///ω///) There were a lot of things happened… Somehow, I always feel like she’s very considerate to me. Mariko: Basically, I love all members in AKB. But especially these three are the ones I love the most. I cherish you like my treasures. Sayaka: Because I’m not first gen. Today as well, I’m the only one from 2nd gen… Mariko: Sayaka ne, the first time when I met her, she looked like she was saying “Come and defeat me!!!" And since that moment, inside me there was something rang a bell. Sayaka: At first, since Mariko’s character was “miwaku no poker face" (attractive poker face), she had this really cool and strong image. But on some occasion, when we talked, I realized she had her weak sides as well. Lately she has come to talk to me about even serious things too. Somehow… I’m a bit happy… (///ω///) Takamina: You said “a bit" but you look extremely happy though XDDD Kojiharu: You look really happy XDDD cakama benstack kanonno oshiri

Shinoda Mariko speaks about graduation in MORE magazine
In the September edition of the magazine MORE, newly graduated Shinoda Mariko explains the motivations behind her graduation and what prompted her to decide to go through with it. Notable quotes“I wondered if maybe announcing it at the Senbatsu Sousenkyo was not very good to the fans who voted for me. Yet at the same time, I didn’t want to get sympathy votes by announcing it before the vote as well.” “[2 years before,] maybe I would be labelled as a “missing person” in the entertainment industry. Because after I graduate television exposure would decrease. “That person, she disappeared, didn’t she?”. I was afraid of that [at that point], that I had to do things, either as an actress or as a variety talent, or anything at all.” “[But] in the two years since then, I’ve come to think that I don’t need to think about what society says about me, and do what I like and enjoy” Mariko tag: ch3mist benstack @kannono

Funny little story from Mariko's graduation stage Ricchan: today it is, you know, Shinoda-san's...... I-I'm not crying...audience: lolol Ricchan: it is Shinoda-san's last performance, which means.... I'm not crying but... uhm... I've kept crying today so I wanted to bring a funny topic here. So, there's something I'd like to ask to Shinoda-san now...audience: ohhh?! Ricchan: uhm... you always do call me...pff... K-Kawaie, you do often call me like that, do you think my name is Kawaie?Mariko: isn't it Kawaie??People: lolol Minami: dafuq?! you must lying!Ricchan: ehm... my name is Kawaei... with "ei" not "ie"...Mariko: well... I've been always calling you Kawaie then.people: lololol Minami: it's not like a nickname or something? You kept mistaking?!Mariko: but, none of you ever pointed out that! All members: lolol Audience: lolol Mariko: although I kept calling her "Kawaie" normally, none of you ever told me anything!Ricchan: that's why I thought you thought for a nickname to me, too. When you called me "Kawaie" I was like: "YES!?" but today here's like my last chance to can ask you, so I'm glad to have been able to ask you now... However, my name is Kawaei and... huh? Yes, it's Kawaei!Mariko: I don't know which one, Kawaei or Kawaie, so I'm gonna call you 'Ricchan' ok?Ricchan: ah... Then, please call me Ricchan... anyway, Shinoda-san has been so kind with me, since I joined Team A although she's so old...Mariko: heyheyheyheyhey!!!audience: oooooooooooooo Minami: that's a thorn in your words!Mariko: that was a thorn, just now!Ricchan: I mean... Although she's so adult, here there're a lot of 14 years old and middle school members. If I were like them (she means still 14 years old) I'd feel like: "am I not a child?" when Shinoda-san look at them. Because she's so kind, she plays with us, Shinoda-san does really love Team A's members. With that said, I want go on without crying so, please let's enjoy us with a smile! cakama benstack oshiri kanonno
I get the point but for me it's not much difference if there's kawaii, kawaei, kawaie it all sounds pretty much the same to me. I guess that's the burden for non-Asian-language speakers. We don't bother much about certain pronounciations, it's still the same word even thouch you pronounciate or accent it differently

Hakata = Hakata the city... you miss pronounce it as Hakaba... its one heck of a different... Hakaba = graveyard... A single error will cause the meaning to change completely... thats why its very important to get the pronunciation right...

Yeah I know but as an European I don't even recognise some of those difference in pronounciations. Like that one Mandarin tongue twister the Chinese dude in the lab told me. It contained five different 'ma's like ma, mà, má , mâ and everything meant something different (Idk mother, horse, riding and something else.) Even if Mandarin is already a hard language for other Asians, it's even harder for 'us' since we ain't used to such difference cuz we don't have any specially pronounciated syllables. Anyway does the mistake 'Kawaie' mean something different or is it just another name?

Even in Hangul the combination of the syllable will cause the word to give off different meaning... Hmm... nope Kawaie カワイエ is just a misspell word in katakana, but its close to a surname in hiragana though. Kawaii = カワイイ

Everyone keeps saying that Korean is much more easier than Jap. (and of course than Mandarin). But there are quite a lot of ~15-18y old girls on tumblr who learned Japanese and are capable of translating 48G updates. I guess I should start looking into it now that my main exam phase is over. I'd alrdy be happy if I could read their names hehe but they're written in Kanji not the more easier hiragana/katakana, right?

You can loosely translation by word value, maybe phrase value, but to translate in context value requires very high level of understanding and years of experience from using the language though... As kanji and katakana... hiragana is a very raw form of language, mostly used as spoken but not as much in written... Kanji/Katakana are more used in written form. Cos some words are spoken in hiragana in one way, but as a written form its slightly different... Let learn Jap together
