Yukizaki Lockey benstackWell I guess my taste in Jdorama is quite not the same page as both of you. I'm not really into Idol based dorama unless they are also having respectable acting talent like Yuko, Arashi and SMAP What I enjoyed about Jdorama since nearly 2 decades ago is like what Ben mentioned the intense script that is compressed into just 10-11 episodes so each episode is exciting by itself. Also its mostly just having a small cast crew that have boost good interaction flow between them, there is no cast that have too weak of a showing even in supporting roles. And no… Shimazaki-chan is just about one of the worse actress I have seen… gomennasai My favorite actresses from the past is Matsu Takako, Matsushima Nanako, Kyoko Fukada and Aragaki Yui, Takeuchi Yuko for the present.

I'm not saying Paruru's good at acting..... I actually agree with you with that statement that she's worst....
The way she struggles on acting is just soooo Kawaii, ugh~! I just love all her flaws! >w<

Like, if they aired on TV then yo, I could just always have them playing in the background, but instead you gotta find them online, flip between internet tabs to catch subtitles if you're working on other stuff, etc. I'm more open to watching movies that don't have actors/actresses I'm familiar with, however. If a movie has a cool sounding plot, then I usually give it a spin. Its easier since movies are only an hour or two (which I can watch in one sitting) while a 10 ep series can run maybe 3-5 hours in total air time.
