01 SNSD 02 2NE1 03 Sistar 04 Kara 05 f(x) 06 miss A 07 Wonder Girls 08 4minute 09 Brown Eyed Girls 10 Secret 11 Girl's Day 12 T-ara 13 After School 14 A Pink 15 Rainbow 16 Nine Muses 17 Dal Shabet 18 Spica 19 HelloVenus 20 AOA 21 Rania 22 Fiestar pann.nate.com/talk/318464787T-ara dropped despite their recent N4 comeback mhm, I thought that one was kinda popular. (Or is Nate just about total revenue of groups?) Girl's Day seems to be quite high, even though int. fans are mostly 'seasonal' fans. They jump on the comeback train and ride it for some weeks..then get off it and forget about the group. ~ Hello Venus below Spica, Dal'Shabet, that seems ridiculous Also APink still 'up' there without any content for ages..mhm

Wonder girls up there as well? I would not have put them that high but they must have a long lasting reputation.
I might be a little irritated that a group who hast put anything out since early 2012 is pushing 4minute down the rankings. The rankings dont mean anything though, just a way to have an interesting/pointless debate.

I'm alright with the ranking, sounds legit.
Its not just revenue (else KARA will be further down), its taking into consideration of popularity (most likely via road side survey and online pollings), success over their career, endorsement rate....and such.
Yes WG, doesn't really have any much contents out, but they are still at a higher ground than 4minute.
4minute isn't really that successful, true WYN is doing well on a digital level. But thats just one song doing well, none of the coupling actually make any impact. Physical sales is down to SISTAR's level, but I expect SISTAR to improve on physical with their 2nd album.
WYN is popular because of the song, I don't really think its because of 4minute. Frankly I could put 9muse doing the same song and the success rate will equally be as high.
Even as a 4nia, I'm saying that 4minute are already past their peak after HUH/IMMM.

I know that Wonder Girls are more popular, I guess that this ranking is based on overall popularity.
I personally think that 4minute have really peaked, I cant determine something like that until they are gone. Then I can go back and see what their most popular period was. I dont see them going much higher though. It is tough for a group to make massive gains in popularity once they have been on the big stage for a while.
They could always stop for a couple of years and then come back and people would be dying of excitement. The day that they announce the end of the group or that they will be taking an extended break I might actually die and never get to see the next possible comeback.

Things will never be the same in a few years time, music taste changes as times and people matures. Look at Shinhwa and BoA for example, they were of legendary status and huge followers in their peak, but now most of their fans are already working adults or married...etc. And the thing about fandom for Korean and most Asian is age factor, addicted to Kpop fandom is really like a past time for people who are still schooling (most of them). As an adult, most wouldn't be so engrossed in fandom anymore.

That is true. Since I am just starting to live the adult life I dont have as much time as I used to. I would love to sit in front of my computer and provide news and everything else the fans want but I dont really have the proper amount of time. There are other things that I want to do for fun as well and I dont have enough time to be doing a million things at once.

Teens treat idolizing as a premium act, but once you grow into society, idolizing will be jeez by your peers who think either you don't have a life or is planning to waste one away worshipping some idols who doesn't even know you exist. Then they are idols, idols have expiration dates. Teens are not going to worship some idols who are the age of their aunties and mum. Can't imagine 28-30 year olds idol doing aegyo, its just
