Atsuko Maeda and Hiroki Narimiya Attend Promotional Event In Taiwan For "The Complex"
 On May 18, Former AKB48 leader Atsuko Maeda and actor Hiroki Narimiya as well as movie director Hideo Nakata headed to Taipei to promote their horror movie "The Complex". As reported earlier, the famous "Ring" director Nakata has been working on a new horror film and has chosen Maeda as the protagonist. The movie revolves around Asuka who moves to a house complex called "Kuroyuri Danchi" a place which is rumored to have a history of mysterious deaths 13 years ago. Clueless and frightened about the strange noises she hears as she stays there, she then meets Sasahara (Narimiya) who has an expertise in dealing with the dead. The movie has been released in Japanese theaters on the day of the promotion. For those who haven't seen the trailer, check it out now!

xD Maybe its not as mind scarring as the Ring? The Original Ring is only PG-13, Acchan can't be that scary (chalk hit) |

lol yeah, it didn't look especially scary, but at the very least, it would get a PG
(by the MPAA standards, not sure how movie ratings are decided in Japan :-/)

Seem to be quite loose in Japan with rating. Unlike here, we have tons of rating categories, and there is no single film that haven't have scenes cut by our censors. Even animation...  |

I can't go to the cinema anymore when I want to watch horror movies or any gore-heavy movie. It's pointless cuz they cut those movies extremely. Even if it's like 10pm with an 18+ rating (there is no 21 in Germany) it will be cut. Anyway the trailer looks fun I'd watch that movie if it will be subbed  |
