Ah, you guys have been missing out on the real awesome original part. Z is just a firm up spinoff, GT is a spinoff of an spinoff.. I wouldn't be surprised that Superman isn't popular just like Captain America, EU and US don't really get along well. And Superman and Captain America is the symbol of US patriot... ^ Nono all Dragonball series aired here (I'm not sure about Kai though, but original, Z, GT all aired several times). The original one wasn't as successful as Z. Z hyped here.  The original Piccolo saga was awesome but Pilaw was rather annoying. Superman is just overly soppy. Lex Luthor is a great villain but Superman is boring..all his confrontations end in the same way. There's a girl, there's some kryptonite. ~Fin Captain America was the worst marvel movie of all time.  But Avengers was popular in EU too. Hm speaking of superheroes + their movies I guess X-Men, Ironman and Hulk are the most popular ones. |

Thats the core of Super Saiyan and flashy battles which appeals to newer generation Superman is actually a very good series in comics, but unlike marvel, DC don't know how to produce good anime/movies. Never bring out all Superman's powers from comics, and missed out all the other arch-enemies like General Zod, Bizarro and Mongul. Its DC making Superman dull on the small and big screens with its simple plots, actually DC kills off a lot of their heroes with their bad transition to the screens.... like Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Batgirl, Catwoman, Wonder woman...etc. All the anime and movies looks like kids plots compared to the original series. They even murdered off JLA, a really sad story... Not really, Cap's beginning is just like everyone's else, but the movies was more tailored toward leading Cap into the Avengers storyline which is Stan Lee's plan for the big screen, all the individual successes of Spiderman, Ironman, Hulk, Fantastic 4, X-men...etc all leads up the Avengers series. But srsly Hulk is a commercial failure compared to all the rest. |

Superman is actually a very good series in comics, but unlike marvel, DC don't know how to produce good anime/movies. If I have to call my most favorite childhood series I'd chose Dragonball in an instance. Overall I prefer DC over Marvel based on the heroes + their abilities/storylines. Nolan's Batman is epic cos he took batman back to the root like in the comics, he is not saint, he is darker than all other Superheroes, and of cos there is Joker who is one of the most unique and charisma villain around. Which makes Dark Knight the best out of the trilogy. Spiderman trilogy is close, wish they had make the original trilogy in the dark format like Amazing Spiderman, cos Spiderman isn't a fighting hero, the comics built more on the plots which makes Spidery almost as dark as Batman. I guess I would never see the 7 corps war or Blackest Night anytime soon, no more 7 ring Hal Jordan  At DC's rate of movie transition, they will kill off JLA before it even started. Cos they already killed Superman, Wonder woman, Hal Jordan(GLC), Barry Allen(Flash), and there haven't even touch on Aquaman. Those are the main members of JLA throughout Gold, Silver and Bronze age. I preferred Marvel, cos it have the most amount of my favorite heroes... IDK, Watchmen the movie was very dull for me... so unlike the comics. |

Acchan is tempting me to go hiking with her with such different scenery  Those pictures are really great, nice shots. I want Acchan to fly over to New Zealand to get a guest apperance in the third Hobbit movie.  |

Maeda Atsuko to appear in NHK Historical Drama
The name of the drama is “Asakiyumemishi~Yaoya Oshichi Ibun”. The drama starts on 9/19, will be broadcasted every Thursday at 8pm Japan time and lasts 10 episodes. More after the cut… Maeda Atsuko will be the lead actress in this drama and plays the character of “Yaoya Oshichi”. The story starts with her meeting a man at a temple after being evacuated from a huge fire that engulfed the city. She fell in love with the man during this period, but she had to return home after it was rebuilt.
